VELO Model FOB 2 DE pressure filter

VELO produce several types of DE (diatomaceous earth/kieselguhr) pressure filters, especially modified for beer filtration. They are economical to run and can handle poor clarity beers as the process is very tolerant to high levels of suspended solids.

For the microbrewery we recommend the manual discharge range of filter: Models FOB 2, 3, 4 or 5. These will handle batches of up to 72 hl (45 UKbarrels) of Ale and much larger volumes of Lager.

VELO Model FVF DE pressure filter

For the larger brewery – regional and national operations – we offer the vertical screen automatic dry cake discharge filter: Model FVF 5 to FVF 100.

This model offers good reliability, efficient cleaning and discharge of the cake. Servicing is much simplified and down time for maintenance is minimal. A trolley is provided to take the discharged cake.

Beverage Process Ltd offers training in the operation of these filters and runs a spares service and a telephone advisory back up service for DE filtration.
