Wine DE Filters
VELO produce several types of DE (diatomaceous earth/kieselguhr) pressure filters. They are economical to run and can handle poor clarity wines as the process is very tolerant to high levels of suspended solids.
VELO Model FOB 2 DE pressure filter
Model FOB manual discharge filters. FOB2, FOB3, FOB4 and FOB5 machines are available and ideal for the small to medium size winery.
Performance:
FOB 2 typically about 20 hl/hr. Total batch size depends on the original clarity and level of suspended solids but is about 40 hl.
FOB 5 typically about 50 hl/hr. Total batch size depends on the original clarity and level of suspended solids but is about 100 hl.
